Live from the Britannia:

While Manchester United were celebrating 26 years of Sir Alex Ferguson at Old Trafford, down the M6, Stoke were marking their 150th anniversary.

Several legends from this grand, old club's history paraded around the Britannia before kick-off, including Gordon Banks with the World Cup, while the big screen showed recent highlights from their past.

The club also gave every home fan at today's game against Tottenham a red or white T-shirt to form a mosaic of the Potters' famous stripes around the Brit.

Tottenham came determined to spoil Stoke's party as they battle Arsenal for the final Champions League place and Andre Villas Boas brought in Steven Caulker and Clint Dempsey.

Dempsey was part of Spurs' five-man midfield in front of frontman Emmanuel Adebayor.
